Our History
After 25 years of experience in retail and interior design, founders Evan & Norma Gerstein first opened the 7,500 sq. ft. Living Modern showroom, on November of 2015. Located on Oak Lawn Avenue, Dallas Texas, Living Modern carries more than 65 brands.
Norma Gerstein, Creative Director & Co-Founder of LM received her Masters Degree in Fashion & Textile Marketing from the acclaimed Domus Academy in Milan, Italy. Gerstein studied under various iconic fashion designers including Gianfranco Ferré. Her expertise in textiles, colors and design manifest in all of her interior design projects.
Evan & Norma's daughter Isabella, joined the dynamic duo in 2019. After receiving her B.A. in Fashion Media & Advertising from Southern Methodist University, Isabella has been a vital addition to the team. Managing the companies Digital marketing Strategies, Social Media, & E-Commerce presence.
Living Modern is very active on Instagram, Facebook, Google & Yelp. Participating as well in print advertising.
Gerstein's strategy is to provide an unprecedented variety of curated mid to high end furnishings, specializing in Contemporary, Transitional, Eclectic & Mid-Century Modern Furnishings.
We offer complimentary design services including but not limited to:
wallpaper, custom draperies & blinds, wall-to-wall carpeting, custom area rugs, lighting & paint color selection.

Family owned, Living Modern caters to everyones needs and makes sure customers have a personalized shopping experience. Unlike many other furniture stores, Living Modern will sell to the Public, the Trade, and to the Contract & Hospitality segments.
