With 25 years of experience in retail and interior design, second-generation furniture and interior designers Evan & Norma Gerstein founded Living Modern in November 2015. Our 7,500 sq. ft. showroom, located on Oak Lawn Avenue in Dallas, Texas, features over 65 distinguished brands.
Norma Gerstein, Creative Director & Co-Founder, holds a Master’s Degree in Fashion & Textile Marketing from Domus Academy in Milan, Italy, where she studied under iconic designers like Gianfranco Ferré. Her expertise in textiles, color, and design is reflected in every project. Evan Gerstein brings extensive industry knowledge, continuing the family legacy in furniture and design.
In 2019, their daughter Isabella joined the team, contributing her expertise in digital marketing, social media, and e-commerce after earning a B.A. in Fashion Media & Advertising from Southern Methodist University.
Living Modern specializes in curated mid-to-high-end furnishings, offering contemporary, transitional, eclectic, and mid-century modern styles. Our showroom provides a wide range of customizable furniture, along with complimentary design services including wallpaper, custom draperies and blinds, wall-to-wall carpeting, area rugs, lighting, and paint selection.
