In order to get this rich, impressive lacquer look, makers apply several layers oftaupe lacquer on top of wood before the final coat is polished to a reflective sheen, so it’s incredibly durable, waterproof and beautiful. The piece is finished with solid polished brass handles to elevate the look even further.
